Jay Vonachen

Member of the Board

Mr. Vonachen is founder and current chairman of Vonachen Industrial Supplies. He is also the former President and CEO.

He received his undergrad from Marquette University and his post grad from Bradley University. He is currently a member of the International Sanitary Supply Association.

Mr. Vonachen’s family has used and relied upon and benefited from HYMC for 5 generations and want to continue to have available “state of the art” medical care. They value their Minocqua friends and neighbors and want all to have available the best possible care.

He and his wife Betty live in Peoria, Illinois and also have a place in the Northwoods.

Gregg Walker

Gregg is the owner of The Lakeland Times in Minocqua and the Northwoods River News in Rhinelander.


Barry J. Seidel, MD, FACS

Barry became a full time surgeon in Minocqua in the spring of 1972. In addition to his part time activities in the surgery department, Barry is currently chairman of the Walter Olson Medical Education Committee and Director of Medical Education at HYMC.


Glenn Schiffmann

A lifetime resident of northern Wisconsin, Glenn Schiffmann believes strongly in combining quality construction with competitive pricing, backed with a professional organization.


Dave Kavanaugh

Dave owns United States Brass and Copper. He and his wife Ginny live in Oak Lawn, Illinois.


William Hopper

Bill and his wife Marilyn have been coming up to the Northwoods since the 1940’s. They have had their home on Trout Lake for many years.


Dick Gustafson

Dick recently retired from his own executive search firm the Gustafson Group, specializing in healthcare provider executives search. Dick spent over 20 years at Heidrick & Struggles (global executive search firm) in the Chicago office where he served as Vice Chairman of the firm and Chairman, Global Health Care Practice. Before that he served as Managing Partner for the Health Care Practice. Dick successfully led major searches for CEO’s, CMO’s, CFO’s, COO’s, and Vice Chancellor and Deans of Medical Schools.


Denny Breitholtz

Dennis and his wife, Catherine, retired full time in 2010 to the home they had built on Oxbow Lake in Presque Isle.


Judy Russell

Judy graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a BSN in Nursing. She also attended the Parish Nurse Prep Program. Judy graduated from the University of Rochester, NY with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health. She is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse, COHN-S. She has a nursing license in both Wisconsin and Illinois.


Anthony Pogodzinski, MD

Tony was born in Withee, Wisconsin, June 14, 1941. He lived on a family farm of 19 acres outside of Withee 'til becoming a sophomore in high school when he went to Holy Cross Seminary in LaCrosse, Wisconsin and studied there until just before Christmas of my fourth year in college in 1962 when he left the seminary and moved to Milwaukee where he entered Marquette University and completed his college training the summer of 1964.


Carrie Nichols Hoye

Carrie is a retired marketing executive who is devoted to community service. Carrie served as Vice President of Marketing for GE Consumer Finance and Director of Marketing for Chicago Tribune. In 2005, Carrie formed CJH Strategic Marketing, where she defined data-driven, customer-focused acquisition and retention strategies for clients including the Washington Post, Dallas Morning News and OSI Restaurant partners.


Mark Pitman

My wife Cheryl and I became year-round residents of Minocqua in 2006, after spending the past 25 plus years living in Wausau. We have two children, Andrea age 26 and John age 23. After working 30 years with Wausau Financial Systems, I have retired as of 12/31/11!


Greg Nicklaus

Mr. Nicklaus has been employed with River Valley Bank since 1998. Previous to joining River Valley, he was the Executive Vice President and Head of Sales at Dealers Credit, Inc. for ten years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Norbert College.


Aldo J. Madrigrano

Aldo J. Madrigrano is the CEO of Beer Capitol Distributing, Inc. and President of the Beer Capitol Investments both located in Sussex, Wisconsin.


Trygve A. Solberg

Trygve (Trig) graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Trig is one part of the larger T.A. Solberg Company, Inc., a diverse and healthy organization of over 1,000 associates that also operate Tula's Café in Minocqua, several fuel and convenience stores throughout northern and central Wisconsin, Trig's Central Bakery and Trucking Facility, Trig's Recycling Center, and the Tasmania Northwoods Resort.
