Glenn Schiffmann

A lifetime resident of northern Wisconsin, Glenn Schiffmann believes strongly in combining quality construction with competitive pricing, backed with a professional organization. His entrepreneurial background is significant: a developer of business and cultivator of opportunities, Schiffmann's expertise spans multiple building and construction related companies and real estate development. Recognized regionally, he is acknowledged as a leader in the construction business, possessing an acute understanding of methods, products and business techniques as they relate to construction as well as planning and zoning issues. In these areas, and in the domain of his commitment to the community, Schiffmann is recognized by area leaders and government officials.

Schiffmann is President and CEO of GPS,Inc., his real estate development company founded in June 1994. In 1998, he provided one of the jewels of the north that has become known as "Bradford Point." GPS, Inc. also maintains and owns a majority interest in the Lake Forest Golf Club, which is on the Eagle River Chain of Lakes with over 150 approved, but undeveloped, home sites.

Starting in December of 1996, as Founder, President and CEO of GPS II, Inc., Schiffmann owns multiple development parcels throughout northern Wisconsin in addition to a 50% ownership of TimberRidge Golf Club, an 18-hole championship golf course located in Minocqua, Wisconsin.

In the fall of 2001, Schiffmann established a new corporate identity known as Cornerstone Custom Builders, Inc. and has built up to 100 homes per year. When the company opened its doors, it did so in three separate communities--EagleRiver, Rhinelander and Minocqua. Schiffmann maintains the position of President and CEO ofCornerstone.

Schiffmann is also the Vice President and CFO of Custom Millworking, Inc., a manufacturer of interior and exterior doors and siding, founded in 2001. This company services builders and lumber yards throughout northern Wisconsin and the upper peninsula ofMichigan.

Additional companies under Glenn Schiffmann's control include Water Stone Development, LLC and Composite Panel Systems, LLC. Composite Panel Systems, LLC holds intellectual property surrounding the use of high performance structural components, targeting use in various construction applications.

As a current member of Northwestern Lumber Association for 15 years, his former member affiliations include:

  • Governors' Council of Economic Development in Northern Wisconsin
  • St. Germain Planning and Zoning Committee
  • Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources representative on the NR115 Shorelandregulation rewrite committee
  • Curriculum Advisory Board for Northland Pines High School
  • Land Use Planning Committee Member for the Town of Newbold
  • State of Wisconsin Northern Initiative Committee
  • Wisconsin Builders Association Government Affairs Oversight Committee
  • Eagle River Recreation Association Board Member

He was Instrumental in founding the Headwaters Builders Association of Vilas, Oneida and Forest Counties, which is affiliated with the Wisconsin Builders Association and the National Association of Home Builders and served as first President of the Headwaters Builders Association for four years.

Glenn Schiffmann is a Licensed Contractor in the State of Wisconsin, a Certified Contractor in the State of Wisconsin, and a Licensed Contractor in the State of Michigan. He completes annual continuing education credits to maintain all licenses, with emphasis on Green Building Technologies.

Barry J. Seidel, MD, FACS

Barry became a full time surgeon in Minocqua in the spring of 1972. In addition to his part time activities in the surgery department, Barry is currently chairman of the Walter Olson Medical Education Committee and Director of Medical Education at HYMC.

Bill and his wife Marilyn have been coming up to the Northwoods since the 1940’s. They have had their home on Trout Lake for many years.

Dick Gustafson

Dick recently retired from his own executive search firm the Gustafson Group, specializing in healthcare provider executives search. Dick spent over 20 years at Heidrick & Struggles (global executive search firm) in the Chicago office where he served as Vice Chairman of the firm and Chairman, Global Health Care Practice. Before that he served as Managing Partner for the Health Care Practice. Dick successfully led major searches for CEO’s, CMO’s, CFO’s, COO’s, and Vice Chancellor and Deans of Medical Schools.

Judy Russell

Judy graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a BSN in Nursing. She also attended the Parish Nurse Prep Program. Judy graduated from the University of Rochester, NY with a Master of Science Degree in Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in Community Health. She is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse, COHN-S. She has a nursing license in both Wisconsin and Illinois.

Carrie Nichols Hoye

Carrie is a retired marketing executive who is devoted to community service. Carrie served as Vice President of Marketing for GE Consumer Finance and Director of Marketing for Chicago Tribune. In 2005, Carrie formed CJH Strategic Marketing, where she defined data-driven, customer-focused acquisition and retention strategies for clients including the Washington Post, Dallas Morning News and OSI Restaurant partners.

Mark Pitman

My wife Cheryl and I became year-round residents of Minocqua in 2006, after spending the past 25 plus years living in Wausau. We have two children, Andrea age 26 and John age 23. After working 30 years with Wausau Financial Systems, I have retired as of 12/31/11!

Greg Nicklaus

Mr. Nicklaus has been employed with River Valley Bank since 1998. Previous to joining River Valley, he was the Executive Vice President and Head of Sales at Dealers Credit, Inc. for ten years. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Norbert College.

Aldo J. Madrigrano is the CEO of Beer Capitol Distributing, Inc. and President of the Beer Capitol Investments both located in Sussex, Wisconsin.

Trygve A. Solberg

Trygve (Trig) graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Business Administration from Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Trig is one part of the larger T.A. Solberg Company, Inc., a diverse and healthy organization of over 1,000 associates that also operate Tula's Café in Minocqua, several fuel and convenience stores throughout northern and central Wisconsin, Trig's Central Bakery and Trucking Facility, Trig's Recycling Center, and the Tasmania Northwoods Resort.
