Julie Nickelsen

Director of Operations and Annual Giving

Julie is originally from the northern Illinois area and moved to the Minocqua area permanently in 2016. Her family has owned our property on Mid Lake since 1970 and she spent all of her summers there as well as many parts of the winter. Jullie has two grown daughters who have also enjoyed all of their childhood summers (and parts of winter) here as well. 

Julie has always been interested in the Howard Young Foundation and has admired all that the Foundation does here in the community, so when the opportunity came along to join the team, she was thrilled to be offered the position! Earlier in her life she was fortunate to be able to devote a great deal of her time to volunteering with many organizations including hospitals, schools, the arts and others. She really enjoy helping to make my community a better place, so this is a perfect fit for her. 

Outside of work, Julie is an active member of PEO which is a Women's organization that supports women's education. She enjoy spending time with her family, traveling and being out on the lakes enjoying the beauty of the Northwoods.
